Advantage Kids is proud to have offered the first tennis program for autistic kids in the state. ACEing Autism is a national charity that partners with organizations like us to offer these programs. Our goal is to have free ACEing Autism programs in every region of New Hampshire, because we know that the rewards for participants and volunteers are huge.
“ACEing Autism opens up the world to kids on the spectrum.”
-Patricia Hunt, Autism Center Coordinator
We’ve just completed our second program held in Laconia and have a third planned for the Manchester area in the Fall.
Our goal is to have free Aceing Autism programs in every region of the state. The rewards for participants and volunteers are huge. Autistic children respond well to tennis compared to team-based sports like basketball, football, soccer, and baseball. Our 1-to-1 ratio of Volunteers to Children provides a tailored approach to learning, one that can compensate for children on different ranges of the spectrum.
Check our locations page to see where and when autism programs will be offered in your region.
For myself Aceing Autism means so much and shows me that my daughter is capable of doing anything she puts her mind to. I’ve noticed a difference in her behavior/moods since attending. Her coach Kathy has made a huge impact on her by working with her and showing her different ways of hitting the ball. She also loves the fact that she has made a new friend Alyssa. Alyssa seems to be very great in my experience of seeing her play with my daughter.
